4. Safety
Lithium batteries contain flammable materials. Read all instructions before use. Improper handling may cause leakage, overheating, explosion, or fire.
Prohibited Actions
- Do not recharge. Primary lithium batteries are non-rechargeable.
- Do not short circuit. Keep terminals away from metal objects.
- Do not over-discharge, crush, or incinerate.
- Do not disassemble or modify the battery in any way.
- Do not solder directly to the battery surface.
- Do not mix new and used batteries, different chemistries, models, or brands.
- Do not reverse polarity. Follow (+)/(−) markings.
- Do not use or heat outside the specified temperature range (−55 °C to +85 °C).
- Do not use batteries with severe scratches, deformation, or damage.
Safe Handling
- Read the product datasheet carefully before use.
- Inspect before installation. Do not use damaged, deformed, or leaking batteries.
- Remove the battery from the device promptly when end-of-discharge voltage is reached.
- For long-term storage, remove the battery and store in a cool, low-humidity environment.
- Consult FORTE before series/parallel assembly.
- Stop use immediately if abnormal heating, odor, color change, or deformation occurs.
- For upright installation, orient the battery with the positive terminal upward.
Storage
- Store away from static electricity sources.
- Temperature ≤ +30 °C | Relative Humidity: 45 % – 75 % RH.
- Keep away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Store in a clean, cool, dry, ventilated area.
- Max. stacking height: cartons ≤ 1.5 m; wooden crates ≤ 3 m.
- Store in original packaging only.
Disposal
- Do not dispose of in household waste.
- Insulate terminals with non-conductive tape before disposal.
- Immerse in 5 % NaCl solution to discharge to 0 V before recycling.
- Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local environmental regulations.
